I’ve collaborated with Pink Chicken on many fantastic projects but this one will be impossible to top! Pink Chicken’s boho + vintage loving spirit came to life in the flora and fauna of paradise in Kailua and the North Shore.
Photographed and filmed on Oahu by the wonderful Paul Strouse— using entirely local talent besides myself and my partner. I produced and directed this shoot, with Paul’s help—communicating at all hours and across time zones with the great east-coast based Pink Chicken team.
The 30th Anniversary of Marie Claire’s US edition was celebrated with a lively fashion week party and intimate dinner hosted with Bloomingdale’s—coinciding with their launch of “From Italy, With Love,” a two-month-long celebration of the best in Italian fashion, design, cuisine, and culture. I worked with the talented team at Future on bringing to life their vision for both MC30xBloomingdale’s events. The centerpiece of party decor was a newsstand with custom awning, cherry red paint, propped with mix of recent issues and iconic archival ones! The I styled the back of the newsstand with wild postings of the newest cover and Italian cafe inspired furniture.
The dinner following the party was held at nearby Isle of Capri. Lemons and classic red check were the design elements used to set the scene.
photographed by Steve Makowski for Cotton Inc were created at Sandy Valley Ranch in Nevada outside Las Vegas. We had a goregous blue sky day—ideal for showing off all the textures of cotton and denim. I had pleasure of styling the wardrobe and props as well as art directing the photos with our talented team. It was my first shoot with a foal, chickens and horses but I hope not my last! Cotton Inc.’s Blue Jeans Go Green initiative champions the natural and sustainability of denim, while giving used denim expanded life through their recycling program.
Lively, fun and beautiful—these assets capture what warm, sunny days bring each year. Photographed by Michael Marquez in Miami and Key Largo. Footage filmed by Pedro Guevara, edited and colored by Jana.
Bold Ones was a commissioned content series filmed during a Cartier event in San Francisco by Ungano + Agriodimas with Esquire.
The Build-A-Bar program used Popular Mechanics’ history of creating interesting projects for the DIY audience for Knob Creek. Across several issues, we showed how to build, finish and outfit a home bar. Digital extensions included a video, and contest. The finished bar was shipped to The Lodge in Minneapolis where guests could meet editor James Schadewald and ask him all about it! All photos were taken by Michael Marquez in James’s Pennsylvania workshop.
While working at Everytown for Gun Safety, I produced these assets for Wear Orange. The incredible women (photographed by Michael Marquez) are gun violence survivors, and activists—and their power and love shows. I cast, directed and styled these images.
Wear Orange weekend takes place every June, in tandem with National Gun Violence Awareness Day. We honor the lives and communities shattered by gun violence—alongside the 120 people who are shot and killed, and hundreds more who are wounded, every day in our country. Learn more at wearorange.org.
The Lodge was an annual tentpole event for Popular Mechanics, with a different city and venue each time. My team and I developed the visual language for the event series—from design to creation and install. Each time we worked with local makers to push the vision further. My friends at Oxford Pennant created all the felt banners and pennants.
Created with Big Head’s Gerry Sievers—I concepted, directed, styled and cast this PSA for Molly’s Fund to raise awareness about how easy it can be to protect yourself from the sun- its a SNAP!
Filmed on a sunny day at a local park, we showed how hats, sunglasses and sunscreen are quick, easy ways to protect your skin.
New Mexico is one of my favorite places on the planet. While on a summer trip, I scouted for this shoot using my children as stand ins.
I love how the colors and patterns of the garments work with the adobe walls, sky and prickly pear cactus. Photographed by Steve Makowski (shown in a bts photo here with one of our models) on location in Albuquerque. The last photo shows a mood board/vignette I created before sharing photos of the scout.
Created by Runner’s World with main sponsor Salomon for the Boston Marathon’s participants and spectators, the three floor Runner’s World town house in Back Bay neighborhood is the place to learn, run, relax and replenish.
